Founder
Doreen Hengari is the Founder of Independent Social Work Services and the Founder of Asylum Seekers And Refugee Support Sanctuary CIC (ASARSS). She is a qualified social worker by profession and holds a Diploma in Access to Higher Education: Social Science from Yale College in Wrexham and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from the University of Chester.
While at the University, her first placement was in the Voluntary sector with Asylum Link in Liverpool supporting those seeking asylum in the UK and those granted Refugee status. Her second placement was with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust under the Homelessness Outreach Team to support homeless people who present with mental health issues. She continue to work part-time as bank Health Care Assistant: Mental Health with Mersey Care Foundation Trust.
Doreen joined her former University of Chester as a Visiting Lecturer. She has shared her story on different platforms and continues to do that as a way to inspire others while educating on the asylum process.
Kuveri Katjangua

Kuveri is a seasoned professional with vast experience in delivering human capital services in information communication technology(ICT), postal, airline sectors and recently gained board level experience in the charity sector. He is both a fellow of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) and Chartered Management Institute(CMI). He combines knowledge sharing, coaching, behavioral science and consulting approaches in helping individuals, teams and organizations grow and anticipate change. Kuveri is a committed volunteer who is passionate about training and development. As someone seeking sanctuary he offered his time while expanding his knowledge in the field.
DURANI RAPOSO
Durani has been a social worker with ALM for the past nine years, where he has demonstrated his considerable knowledge in dealing with complex needs of asylum seekers and refugees. During these periods, Durani has been active in delivering lectures at most of the Universities and local government councils in the North West on social work, asylum process in the UK, mental health, and domestic abuse as related to asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants without legal status in the UK.
Durani has a perfect understanding of dealing with asylum seekers, and refugees, because he went through the same process as he battled the tyrannical regime of Mugabe.
